Corporate Green Building Initiative
On behalf of a major national developer, YRG consultants supported the development and implementation of a corporate-wide sustainability initiative. To support this effort, YRG consultants conducted green building opportunity meetings with development teams across the country, supported the development of a knowledge management database, created LEED management tools and standardized templates, supported the development of metrics to track success, and developed a sustainability roadmap to guide corporate sustainability efforts into the future.Corporate Green Building Project Management Tool
On behalf of a major international pharmaceutical company, YRG consultants developed a green building management tool to facilitate the roll out of the company's corporate green building goals. The tool was developed in Microsoft Excel and was designed to guide new and existing development and infrastructure projects through green building process, potential LEED certification, and overall project management. The tool included both resources and tips for successful project-specific green building implementation and the ability to track progress against the company's broader sustainability goals.Green Living Business Startup
YRG supported a business entrepreneur in New York City in the startup and ongoing implementation of a new Green Living consultancy. For this project, YRG conducted preliminary market research, identified and developed partnerships with existing local resources, identified and outlined specific service offerings and business model for the consultancy, and provided a recommended course of action for moving forward.Strategic Product Sustainability Analysis
On behalf of a major national building materials manufacturer, YRG consultants evaluated product materials for LEED credit contributions by gathering product-specific technical data, identifying areas of applicability and contribution to existing LEED credits, and developing Innovation in Design credit approach via LEED credit interpretation rulings for customer-wide use.City of Boulder, Commercial Building Code Evaluation
YRG consultants supported the City of Boulder's efforts to review its existing commercial building code and provide recommendations for upgrades to support overall environmental performance and encourage LEED certification or "certifiability" among the private sector. Recommendations addressed proposed additions or modifications to the code, barriers within the code to LEED, incentive programs, education programs, and local considerations.Energy Efficiency Opportunity Analysis
YRG consultants conducted an energy efficiency opportunity evaluation, and developed associated recommendations for increased energy efficiency for a major retail company's 1,100+ locations nationwide. This project included the onsite monitoring of energy consumption (plug loads, lighting, HVAC) at six locations across the country and the development of a series of recommendations to implement cost effective efficiency measures at locations nationwide.Green Building Design Assistance & LEED Certification
