Joshua Radoff, Principal, LEED-AP

Joshua Radoff

Josh is a co-founder and Principal of YRG sustainability consultants. His background is in sustainable energy engineering, climate change mitigation, and green building consulting. Josh's green building experience includes project management, technical design support, cost-benefit analysis, training and education, charrette facilitation, and LEED certification consulting –nationally and internationally. For developer clients with a portfolio of projects, Josh has assisted in roll-out of green building programs through the development of guidelines, standard templates, and project / knowledge management tools.

In the energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) management field, Josh has developed GHG accounting protocols, offset projects, inventories, baselines, and emission reduction goals for private companies - including projects participating in the Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto Protocol, the Chicago Climate Exchange, and EPA’s Climate Leader’s program. Josh has also developed Climate Change Action Plans and energy and carbon calculation tools for state and municipal governments.

Josh was one of the founding directors of GreenHomeNYC, a resource and advocacy group for green building in New York City, and is currently a board member of the Colorado Chapter of the USGBC. His writing on sustainability has been published widely including in the Gotham Gazette, Solar Today, the Cooperator, and the New York Opinion.

Lauren Yarmuth, Principal, LEED-AP

Lauren Yarmuth

Lauren is co-founder and Principal of YRG sustainability consultants. She is a nationally recognized leader in the green building industry with experience enabling corporations, building owners, design teams, and communities to implement and benefit from green building solutions.

An architect by training, Lauren is skilled at developing and managing project-specific, practical, and appropriate strategies for green building and leveraging the value in the marketplace. She works extensively with the USGBC LEED Green Building Rating System and has supported the application and certification of LEED for scores of projects nationally and internationally. Lauren has also worked on behalf of the USGBC to conduct project certification reviews and credit interpretation (CIR) responses for LEED projects.

Lauren’s project experience spans building types, and often includes working within project teams and organizations to make the case for green building, develop a process, provide education, and technically carry projects through to recognized successful outcomes. This process draws upon Lauren’s skills of inspiring teams, developing creative and effective paths and solutions, and bringing the right people and tools to the table at the right time. Lauren is also a seasoned trainer for private and community green building and LEED training sessions.

Lauren sits on the USGBC national Board of Directors, where she represents professional firms. She also currently participates on the USGBC Strategic Planning committee and the LEED Steering Committee. Previously she served as chair of the national USGBC Professional Development Committee, participated on the national Retail Development Committee, and was a founding board member and chair of the education committee for the Colorado USGBC chapter. Lauren is a LEED 2.0 and 2.1 Accredited Professional.

Jenny Carney, LEED-AP

Jenny Carney Jenny is a Director at YRG. Her expertise is in the realm of building operations and upgrades, including helping companies, building owners, facility managers, and developers incorporate sustainability into all facets of their business and building practices.

Jenny has been extensively involved in the development of the LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) Rating System. She served as the primary author of the V2.0 Reference Guide, developed training materials for the USGBC's technical review workshops, and currently heads up YRG's efforts conducting project certification reviews and credit interpretation responses (CIRs) for LEED-EB projects on behalf of USGBC.

Prior to joining the green building community, Jenny worked as a terrestrial ecology and climate change researcher, environmental program developer and manager, and community-based environmental outreach specialist. Jenny is a LEED-NC 2.0 and LEED-EB 2.0 Accredited Professional.

Seema Pandya, LEED-AP

Seema Pandya

Seema Pandya is a Consultant at YRG Sustainability Consultants with expertise relating to green building strategies, design assistance, LEED coordination and documentation, project management, interior architecture, graphics, lighting design, and green design education.

Seema received her BA in Interior Design at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with an emphasis in green design.  Seema's professional experience includes educational support and project management for a variety of building project types focusing on setting sustainable design goals, team coordination, LEED documentation, product support, and sustainable design analysis. Seema is an active member of the green building community through the USGBC and has won various awards for sustainable design projects while having her own original designs published in academic texts.


In addition to her Interior Architecture background, Seema is a leader in the field of Fine Arts in the City of Denver. She was Co-Owner of an award winning, multifaceted, cultural arts center, Revoluciones Collective Arts Space. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for "The Construct", a non-profit fine arts funding organization. Additionally, Seema has experience as a Graphic Designer, Musician and Fine Artist.

Ben Stanley, LEED-AP

Ben Stanley is a Consultant at YRG with experience supporting green building design and implementation.  Currently, Ben is supporting a variety of green building projects including hospitality / resort, multi-family residential, mixed-use, core & shell, and commercial office spaces.  His technical expertise includes commissioning and contractor activities related to LEED certification as well as LEED documentation and coordination.  He is active in the green building community and is a volunteer with the Colorado Chapter of the USGBC Events Committee.  Ben’s prior work experience includes environmental education, business development, and project management.   He received a BA in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver and has completed his coursework in Construction Management at Colorado State University.  He is also a LEED Accredited Professional

Devon Bertram, LEED-AP

Devon Bertram is a Consultant at YRG with expertise related to green building strategies, green living, and LEED certification. Currently, Devon supports project management and technical implementation for multiple projects seeking LEED certification, including volume / portfolio wide applications at the corporate level. She also supports YRG’s Green Living division, including materials, products and services research, and recommendations for the home. Devon has also worked extensively with green roof projects, supporting research and implementation.

 

Devon is a graduate of Middlebury College where she received a BA in Environmental Studies. Her interdisciplinary background has resulted in work with a variety of individuals and project teams, where she developed her communication and management skills while gaining valuable experience in the growing field of sustainable living and design. Prior to joining the green building community, Devon managed a gallery hosting contemporary art and antiques from the Far East.

Phi Filerman, LEED-AP

Phi Filerman is a Senior Consultant with YRG with experience in sustainability education, green real estate development, marketing, operations and project management.  Phi works to combine these skills, enabling her to effectively work with clients on their sustainability goals in conjunction with their larger business visions.


Phi has most recently been working in real estate development; implementing LEED projects, greening affordable housing and supporting grant writing. In addition Phi worked at the intersection of green building and business; developing leasing strategies to make green building viable for developers, incorporating the benefits of green building into companies marketing messages, and developing educational materials.

 

While pioneering a joint MBA/Environmental Studies Masters program at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Phi worked for The Keystone Center, a not-for-profit promoting the connection between science and policy. There Phi helped create and deliver experiential trainings to introduce corporate executives and managers to the concepts of sustainability and help them understand its importance to the long term viability of their businesses. Previously Phi worked in the telecommunications industry managing technology installations and working with corporate executives on telecommunications and technology strategies. Phi is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Keith Amann, LEED-AP

Keith is a Consultant for YRG sustainability consultants. Keith’s project experience includes public and private clients in both the commercial and residential sectors. His green building experience includes LEED-certification consulting for LEED-NC, EB, and CI projects, energy studies and assessments, incentive and rebate coordination, and sustainable design consulting.

Keith earned his Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Certificate in Sustainable Design from the School of Architecture at NJIT. Prior to working at YRG, Keith worked for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering firm supporting their sustainable design projects. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, member of the New York and New Jersey Chapters of the U.S. Green Building Council, and serves on committees within the Emerging Green Builders New York Chapter (EGBNY).

Liza Trafton, LEED-AP

Liza is a Consultant for YRG.  Her experience includes project coordination and organizational support for brownfield redevelopment, urban planning, and architecture projects; preparation of regulatory and grant applications to local, state and federal agencies and project evaluations for participation in the US Green Building Council’s LEED-ND Pilot Program. Liza earned a BA from Georgetown University and has completed coursework in urban planning at Columbia University.  She is a USGBC Emerging Green Builder member, a LEED Accredited Professional and a volunteer with the NYC Parks and Recreation Department.

Shannon Gray, LEED-AP

Shannon is a Research Assistant at YRG sustainability consultants. She has experience with commercial and residential greenbuilding projects providing technical assistance with concepts, technical research and implementation. She has experience with LEED NC documentation as well as performing diagnostic testing on home inspections. While at Southface Energy Institute, she contributed to the development of a green building program for light commercial buildings. Shannon coordinated the greening of Greenprints, an annual green building conference, by becoming carbon neutral, eliminating waste and using eco-friendly goods and products. Shannon is a LEED Accredited Professional and an Emerging Green Builder chair member.

Daniel LeBlanc, LEED-AP

Dan is a Senior Consultant with YRG. His focus is design integration for improved energy efficiency, daylighting, and indoor air quality. He has experience in building performance analysis in new construction and renovation projects, working with a variety of building types. He is currently supporting project teams to facilitate the design of high performance building envelopes and equipment to decrease energy use, increase durability, and to lower operating and overall life cycle costs. Dan has experience with energy modeling and daylight modeling and has done extensive green materials research.  He also has experience in project management, timberframing, and carpentry. As a volunteer, Dan advises the construction committee of his local Habitat for Humanity Chapter on energy efficiency and green building. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Anthony Roy, LEED-AP

Anthony is a Senior Consultant with YRG sustainability consultants. He has worked in the sustainability field for twelve years in both the private and public sector. Anthony’s expertise is in program/project management related to energy efficiency, climate change, real estate development and green building. He has provided project management services to electric and gas utilities, multifamily developers, hotel developers, property management companies, and non-profit organizations. Anthony has experience in real estate development, including the redevelopment of a historic mixed-use building using green building strategies. He is currently focusing much of his attention on LEED for Neighborhood Development (ND).

 

Anthony co-founded Ecoroofs Everywhere, a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon that provides technical support on greenroof installations.

 

Anthony has degrees from Northwestern University and from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Shira Friedman, LEED-AP

Shira is a Research Assistant with YRG with a focus on sustainable operations and maintenance for existing buildings. She also facilitates the LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) certification process by researching and managing information relating to sustainable products and practices. Shira’s experience in the environmental field includes green building, land conservation, environmental justice work and fundraising. 

She recently worked on the Chicago Greenbuild 2007 Legacy Project, a LEED-CI renovation at the Chicago Center for Green Technology.  Shira is a LEED-AP and has a BA in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.

Shillpa Singh, LEED-AP

Shillpa Singh is a Senior Consultant with YRG. Shillpa is trained as an architect with eight years of international experience in developing and implementation of sustainable design technologies in the construction industry. As a green building consultant, Shillpa has been directly involved on numerous LEED projects in USA and India from design through documentation. Utilizing decision makings tools in daylight and energy modeling, cost-benefit analysis and life cycle cost, Shillpa contributes to the design development. She works closely with architects, engineers, contractors and funding agencies on identifying sustainable design opportunities and taking the project through LEED certification.

 

Previously, Shillpa has been associated with developing intelligent systems for integrating environmental technologies into the construction industry, as is demonstrated through the book she co-authored Guide to Whole Life Value in Infrastructure and Buildings while an associate scientist at Transportation Research Limited  in the United Kingdom. She has assisted in statewide energy efficiency incentive programs as at NYSERDA in Albany, NY. She has also been involved in research on international corporate policy, climate change, urban sprawl, recycling policies, restoration ecology and public health. Shillpa has an architecture degree from India and MS in Environmental Management and Policy from RPI, NY. She is an active member of USGBC national and local chapter and also a member of India Green Building Council.
